Handyman Ministry of FEPC
Volunteers of First Evangelical Presbyterian Church Handyman Minsitry seek to focus God’s love and Christ’s compassion upon the church body in a tangible way, using spiritual gifts, talents, and skills to perform tasks for members who are physically unable to complete small projects around their home.
As each one has received a gift, minister it to one another… 1Peter 4:10
We have different gifts according to the grace given us. Romans 12:6-8
This ministry will seek to:

Build relationships and offer blessings of fellowship

Offer follow-up opportunities by pastor or care ministry
Policies:

Handyman ministry exists within ministry of board of Deacons. Active deacon serves as Handyman Team Coordinator and submits reports at regular deacon meeting

Timely decision given requests for services
-
Undertake tasks as skills are available
-
No capital improvements to rental properties
-
Evaluation of projects by two skilled volunteers
-
On-site execution of projects by minimum of two volunteers

Homeowner provides materials
-
No new construction; repair or restoration of existing structure only

No fee charged for labor; donations will be gratefully accepted, per wishes of recipient of services
Examples of Services:

Adjust or repair safety devices such as handrails, door locks, etc.

Large appliance and furniture removal/moving

Simple appliance installation

Storm clean up
-
Plumbing repairs
-
Small painting tasks
-
Gutter cleaning
-
One day completion projects
-
Small electrical repairs
-
Limited yard work
-
Window/door replacement
